About Us

Purpose:

Ebony Emotions is dedicated to reducing the stigma surrounding bipolar disorder, raising awareness, and addressing the issue of misdiagnosis in the Black community and other communities of color.

Mission:

The mission of Ebony Emotions is to offer culturally sensitive digital resources, foster community support, and provide a judgment-free platform tailored to the Black community and other communities of color navigating the unique challenges of bipolar disorder. By working to reduce stigma and shame, we aim to empower BIPOC individuals to thrive in their personal lives, careers, and relationships.

Who We Serve

Ebony Emotions is designed for the Black community and other communities of color navigating the mental health challenges associated with bipolar disorder. Our mission lies at the intersection of race, culture, and the complex, nonlinear experiences of living with bipolar disorder. We also welcome individuals who do not live with the disorder but want to deepen their understanding by learning from the lived experiences of those who do.
